MURTAJILL ADDED TO PATINACK STALLION ROSTER FOR 2009

Star colt Murtajill has been retired from racing to join the Patinack Farm stallion roster this season. In announcing service fees for the five stallions to stand at Patinack Farm’s Stallion complex for the 2009 season Nathan Tinkler commented, “ We are pleased to have such a precocious well-performed juvenile as Murtajill joining our stallion ranks. He was a dominant 2yo and competed at the highest level all through his 3yo and 4yo, only to be narrowly beaten at Group 1 WFA by champions such as Racing to Win and Apache Cat.”

Nathan added, “Everyone remembers what a dominant 2yo Murtajill was and only an outside barrier robbed him of a Golden Slipper. He won the Breeders Plate very softly and backed that up with a 3 length win in the Group 3 Skyline stakes. We look forward together with our clients to breeding strong precocious 2yo’s in the mould of himself.”

Rick Connolly said, “Having been a record priced weanling he is an outstanding athletic type. His sire won a record seven consecutive Group 1 races and his dam did what only champions Sunline and Emancipation have done in winning the Doncaster Handicap as a 3yo filly. He is a tremendous addition to our roster this season and will be given every opportunity with the support of our own quality broodmare band.”

Patinack has reduced its service fees in line with its continued support of breeders. Patinack has been a leading buyer of yearlings from $20,000 to $2 million across all sales in Australia and will continue to support the breeders who support Patinack. Patinack’s focus is unique in that it is built on building the reputations of its stallions through results on the racetrack, leaving the sales rings to its clients so that they may maximise their returns.

Patinack $1 Million dollar breeders' bonus

An annual pool of $1,000,000 will be distributed 50/50 to both the breeder and the owner/s of every metropolitan race winner (2YO & 3YO races only - not including group races) sired by a Patinack stallion*

The break-up will be:
$20,000 for each Saturday metropolitan winner in NSW or Victoria
$10,000 for each mid-week metropolitan winner in NSW and Victoria
$10,000 for each Saturday metropolitan winner in Queensland
